Never had a REAL Kindle cover. Stayed away after all of the reviews about how the steel teeth holders crack the Kindle to uselessness, and then how Amazon blames the breakage on the user! Sounds a lot like bolting a wheel on through the tire mounts and blaming the driver when the screws produce flat tires. Would likely have tried it anyway if Amazon stood by the product, but since they called all breakage “user’s fault”, not real interested. Went with the M-Edge covers, one for me one for my wife. They are stylish (a ten), safe (another ten), pockets and holding Kindle up (a nine), but a bit weighty ( a seven). Truly, the weight seems tied to the extremely high quality, but you should know that it is not as light as the Kindle 2. Overall, still a ten.M-Edge Latitude Kindle Jacket (Fits 6″ Display, Latest Generation Kindle), Red w/ Black

Looks nice but one question, where are the pockets? It would be great if they added a couple of slim pockets in the front like the M-edge covers. Price is right..

I bought the hot pink cover when I ordered my Kindle 2. This cover came out of the box and went right back into the box. The smell is awful. I have health issues related to chemical odors and this smell was overpowering. It’s going back to Amazon.

I bought my Kindle 2 since August 2009 and I have to admit that it is a great product. Although Amazon.com brought out this new cover for the Kindle, I still believe that a basic cover should have been included in the package or at least somesort of a little sac to slip it into when it is not in use. However, I like the new cover and especial the strap which is the primary reason I bought it. Also, the price could have been better adjusted to a more reasonable price, perhaps at $30 instead of the $35.

Looks: great

Feels: great

Fits: perfectly

Smells: HORRID and strong.

The leather is extremely low quality, if it’s even leather which I suspect it isn’t. The inside is NOT suede as described. It is clearly felt.

The price is low because the product is low quality. Spend another twenty dollars and get a real leather product.
