These dynamic artists cannot be matched. Not a note is misplaced. The fullness of the music makes it seem that more than two people are playing. Fantastic.

I bought the CD after I incidentally heard an interview with the two musicians. Although famous pieces like the ones on Jarrett’s Cologne concert are more dramatic and tumultuous, the ones on this CD are beautiful in their own mellow, calming and understated way. Beautiful performance.

This is the essence of quiet, confident jazz. I mark the passage from day to evening by pressing the cd button, and the familiar but never old first notes of “For All We Know” tell me it’s ok. I will grow old(er) listening to this.
