I first played Mortimer Beckett and the Spooky Manor and raced through that game in little over an hour and expected this game to be much like that one, but I was wrong I actually struggled to solve some of the puzzles and place the items. This made for a real fun game to play while traveling on a trip. Coming from a family that is addicted to these types of games it was a great relief to have a new one to buckle down and solve. So this game ranks up in the top of my favorite Hidden Secret games

I love hidden object games and looked forward to playing it. Unfortunately, there is a bug in the Pirate Age that doesn’t allow the player to proceed to the next age. I’ve checked various game forums and there are quite a few people who have encountered the same problem and walkthroughs and cheats don’t help.

Other than this bug, I love this game and will probably start over with a different player name now that I think I know how to avoid the “bug”. Great graphics. I like the pieces being broken up and misplaced and will be buying the other MB games.

I just started playing this game last week. I am at the place called the Blue Island. I have gotten all the way to where you click to enter a castle. Then you click the door knocker, which makes these round things rotate over and over. I almost clicked the entire night last night. I cannot get out of the level. I cannot skip this level. I am absolutely stuck. This game offers no other options — and I have rotated little round things till I am sick of watching them. What the heck am I supposed to do if I want to play this game, but I apparently don’t have the ability to complete this one stupid puzzle? Email [...] if you know the secret to this stupid puzzle, please! Thanks so much!

I’m delighted to have made Mr. Beckett’s acquaintance and going along on this adventure has been a hoot! Don’t be fooled by the cartoonish graphics. This is anything but a child’s game.

Primarily a hidden object game, it’s necessary to jump around in time and solve puzzles, replace bits of anachronistic gadgets and generally clean up time travel messes, but all the puzzles are relevant to the game’s theme. They also get progressively more difficult. After successfully navigating through Vikings, French Revolutionaries and Caribbean pirates, I’m currently stuck in Ancient Egypt, but have hopes of escaping through the Portal any time now.

Each era has several locations and pieces of objects are found at each site. Before an object can be used at another location, it must be fully assembled and sometimes puzzles must be solved before all the pieces show up. The Hint button is very friendly, and extremely rare options to skip puzzles. Some of the puzzles require advanced reasoning and observation of other sites and can be frustrating (keeping scrap paper at hand is advisable) but not impossible. Yet.

I’m thrilled to see more Mortimer Becketts out there and am counting on a long and fun filled friendship.
