This game is great fun. It includes a lot of valuable life lessons for your kids without you saying a word. Unfortunately, the creators of the game felt the need to include building a pagan temple and idol worship in the game. This may be okay for some, but as a Christian, it isn’t what I want my kid doing. If the creators of this game just HAD to include religious symbolism, then I don’t understand why they couldn’t have included a choice of the major religions under the options tab. It is only a picture that comes up when you’ve solved the puzzle. Why couldn’t they have allowed us the choice of building a church and a cross or a Buddha and a Buddhist temple? They let us change the music, why can’t we change that? After unpleasant surprises at the end of this game and the second, we aren’t buying the third. Its a great little game, but it doesn’t live up to its promise.

I bought this when it was a gold box deal for $.99. I would’ve been really upset if I paid the full 6.99 for it though. It’s sort of fun and interesting, but it takes forever to get the game going and that is really starting to frustrate me.
You kind of have to figure things out as you go along since there’s no guide to tell you what you need to know, it’s not hard though.

I downloaded 4 games on Mother’s Day for $.98 each. I figured, $4 for some fun, nice deal. 3 of the 4 games download great, and I play them off and on. This one, however, didn’t download the .exe file, despite repeated tries and a call to Amazon for help. All other games work fine, but this one can’t be played from where you are if you turn the computer off. I have to redownload it, and start a new game. My 10yo loves this game, but it is hard to be green when I have to leave the computer on 24/7. This is a long game, lasting days. She hasn’t finished it yet, so I don’t even know how many days I need to keep the computer on. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? I tried saving the game in a separate file to try to back it up. I am out of DVDroms to save it on as I download, so that may work (??). Help.

This seems like a Sims knock off, and I’m not a big Sims (people) fan. Basically you teach the characters to forage and research and reproduce. I’m sure it would be fun for those who like the Sims types games but I just found it boring.
